EP 173: Why bootstrapping your bodywork business is not a smart idea
You cannot do everything on your own, and asking for assistance is not a crime. Even bootstrappers — people who think they can do it all by themselves — need help.
In this first episode of 2024 (Happy New Year!) I talk about how pride (and maybe some stubbornness) can mask reality and what you need to do for your massage or bodywork business.
“If you’re struggling getting clients in the door or keeping clients coming back, or knowing what to say to ask for referrals, or 100 other things, please, please don’t try to just pull yourself up by your bootstraps. It’s just not worth it. Here’s what to do instead.”
This week on the Do It With Intention Podcast:
Learn why trying to build a successful, sustainable business without help from outside resources just … does … not … work.
Find out why it’s always beneficial to lean into support, especially on the business side of your practice and particularly when you need it most.
And receive guidance to get where you want to go a lot faster.

And, if you’re enjoying these conversations, it would mean so much to me if you would pop over to Apple Podcasts and leave a review. Reviews help other bodyworkers find the podcast so they too can build the practice of their dreams. Just click here to review, select “Ratings and Reviews” and “Write a Review” and let me know what you love about the podcast. (Can’t quite figure the techie stuff out? Here’s a guide to help.) Let’s spread the love — it’s good karma!
Now it’s time to get out there, build your business, and DO IT WITH INTENTION.
