The Bodywork Project

Welcome to Module 1 of The Bodywork Project! Before you can create your ideal bodywork practice, you need to know where you are and where you want to be. That's why we'll start with Business Clarity.

We're going to talk about money, numbers, and income in this module, but don't be nervous. You've got a community of big-hearted therapists and me to support you. And we've got your back.

As you dive into this work, please remember that each Bodywork Project lesson builds upon the last. I encourage you to complete them in order so that you can build on the work from the previous lessons and modules.

There is a list of related resources at the bottom of this page to support you if you want to go even deeper with the material, including a guided visualization to connect you with your Inner Mentor. Check it out and post your questions, comments, struggles and big wins on The Bodywork Project Facebook page. Congratulations to you -- you're on your way!

We must let go of the life we have planned,
so as to accept the one that is waiting for us.

Simon Sinek presents a simple but powerful model for how leaders inspire action, starting with a golden circle and the question "Why?" His examples include Apple, Martin Luther King, and the Wright brothers.

Inner Mentor Guided Visualization

It can sometimes be difficult to hear your own voice when you are trying to gain clarity -- there are so many people offering advice! In this guided visualization, you'll meet your Inner Mentor, a beautiful soul you can go back to again and again for solace, empathy, and advice.

I first came across this visualization in Tara Mohr's book, Playing Big, and she found it at The Coaches Training Institute. I encourage you to give it a try. It takes about 15 minutes, and you may be surprised by the power of your Inner Mentor.
