For big results in your business, keep doing this.
Last week, we looked at 8 questions to ask as you create your vision for your ideal practice so you know where you want to go.
Now that you know how far you need to travel to get to your perfect practice, the question that comes up is: what do I do to get there?
Conventional wisdom would say that you have to take HUGE strides: Design a new website now! Run out and get a dozen new certifications! Become an overnight viral internet sensation!
Sister, I can tell you from my own experience, none of these things is the magic bullet.
There is no magic bullet.
The key to making progress in your bodywork business is to keep taking baby steps in the direction of your ideal practice.
Daily. Weekly. Consistently.
I wish there was a short cut, because believe me, I would have taken it!
But the secret to building a successful bodywork business is to consistently take baby steps. Those small steps will add up, and you’ll get where you want to go.
It’s not glamorous, it’s not get-rich-quick, but IT WORKS.
Last week, I told you about the electric massage table that I kept seeing as part of the vision for my ideal practice.
After researching tables, I decided on one that cost about $1500.
I didn’t see a way that I could afford that. So, I started taking baby steps. Each week (and EVERY week) I set aside $10 for the massage table. Whenever I received an unexpected bonus or check, I put that in the Electric Massage Table Fund.
Of course you see what’s coming... I ended up with enough money to get the table, but here’s the thing: it take NEARLY as long I thought it would. I mean, let’s face it — I didn’t think I’d ever get there.
But by taking measured, consistent steps, I was able to shift my practice.
And you can too.
Start with one inspired action step that you can take today. Now take it. And take the next step tomorrow.
