We've covered a TON of ground this month, and today we'll wrap up by looking at 3 common mistakes that you might be making in the way you approach your massage or bodywork business.

First of all, it's no wonder that bodywork practitioners are making business mistakes. I mean, no one gets into this industry to be a business guru -- we get into it because we love to help people.

But if you don't pay attention to your business, you can get into a place of fear and worry that doesn't let you show up 100% for your clients. They don't get the results they're looking for, and you begin doubting yourself and your abilities.

And the worst part is, if you're struggling with any of these, your clients are already thinking "I'm not really getting what I need here," because they're not able to get through whatever they need to get through with you.

Soooo not good.

You can begin to get a handle on your business by asking yourself if you're making these 3 common mistakes in your business:

1. Not specializing in the work you truly LOVE to do (offering too many modalities is a race-to-the-bottom for you and your business).

If you find yourself with a sprawling Menu of Services, chances are that you're struggling to create a niche and be known as a specialist in your modality.

You need to "niche down," which means to really focus in on one modality that lights up your heart so much that you could do it all day long, all day strong. THAT's a major piece in streamlining your practice so that it works for you.

2. Not having the time to work on the business side of your practice (if you don't take care of your business, it won't take care of you).

Believe me, I get it. How in the heck are you supposed to work on your business when you can barely find the time to get something to eat between clients?

There are a few simple tweaks you can make in your calendar that will give you the time you need to focus on your practice so that you can take it to the next level. And it all starts with a mindset shift.

3. Not showing up as a CONFIDENT PRO (being too hesitant in any business-related discussions).

You've got to be both the PRO and CEO in your practice -- a professional therapist AND a rock star entrepreneur -- to really make an impact and help more people.
